Dan Dunn -
Dan pens his syndicated weekly wine and spirits column, “The Imbiber,” for Metro International Newspapers, the largest and fastest growing international newspaper in the world. Dan has been described, quite aptly, as the country's preeminent “rockstar booze writer.” He’s been a featured guest numerous times on radio and television programs, including -- again, aptly -- the CBS show, "Rockstar."
Dan is a former staff writer for the Emmy-nominated TV show “Talk Soup” and freelance joke contributor for SNL’s “Weekend Update.” He recently set-up an original sitcom with two major Hollywood producers (sorry, can’t name names just yet), and is currently almost negotiating a deal to possibly develop a pilot with Fox ... maybe. Dan’s dark comedic feature screenplay, “Exes,” was also optioned in 2005 and proceeded to go nowhere. He is an award-winning humorist and film critic, as well and editor-at-large for Mountain Gazette, the Aspen Daily News and the Santa Monica Daily Press. A protégé of the late Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, Dan’s work has appeared in numerous high-profile publications including GQ, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, LA Style, Entertainment Weekly, and Aspen Magazine. In 2002, he was commissioned by Warner Bros. to pen a web journal called “The Funhog,” portions of which have appeared over the years in newspapers and magazines worldwide.
Dan lives in Santa Monica, CA, with his many doubts and insecurities. He is survived by his girlfriend, mother, dad, three brothers and two sisters … which would be true if he were dead.
Dan has been busy promoting his new book "Nobody Likes a Quitter (and other reasons to avoid rehab) The Loaded Life of an Outlaw Booze Writer" and once he's got some free time he'll post some reviews. In the meantime check out his site at www.theimbiber.net and check out his book on Amazon (click the book cover for a direct link)
