Distilled in Great Britain (Scotland) bottled at 110 proof yet smooth, sophisticated and fun. Raj uses some amount of saffron, a rare and costly spice which in addition to flavor also imparts a paley yellow tint. They suggest serving straight "upon observing a tiger in the wild" or with tonic when "back in the safety of the manor house".

my 2-cents: Old Raj is a whopping 110 proof which is pretty high and a lot of the time that much alcohol overpowers the flavors, but the reviews (from respected reviewers) are all excellent along with a top rating from Wine Enthusiast. The label is really neat, I'm finding out if I can get some t-shirts for us! |
